GADU is set to transform its target industry by automating every core administrative process that keeps operations running. From invoicing and staffing to payroll and accounting, and beyond, the goal is to cut overhead costs to a minimum.

As the Principal Engineer - Data & Automation at Santa Tech, you’ll play a foundational role in bringing GADU’s core technology, the GADU Engine, to life. You'll collaborate closely with GADU's founding team, which brings extensive executive experience from the target industry, alongside Santa Tech's global engineering talent.

Your work will focus on architecting and building the data flows, integrations, and automation systems that form the backbone of the GADU Engine and enable future AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the GADU Engine from scratch, in close collaboration with the CTO.

• Build and maintain bidirectional integrations across multiple external systems and domains to ensure reliable, scalable data flow.

• Define engineering standards and establish scalable practices for data, automation and software development.

• Support team growth through mentoring and hiring, with a path to AI Lead.

• Explore and integrate Gen AI capabilities on top of the core data and automation platform as it matures.

Your Profile

• Intrinsic motivation for continual learning and staying updated on data engineering, automation frameworks, and modern software practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and analytical approach.

• 5+ years of experience with data architecture, systems integration, and workflow automation tools (e.g. in event-driven systems, data modelling and schema design, workflow orchestration, and data pipelines)

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 

• 5+ years of experience in software and data engineering, with strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript (or comparable modern languages).

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Interview Process

• Online Quiz (5-10 min).

• Introductory Interview with CTO (30-60 min).

• Tech assessment in the form of a take-home assignment (>3h).

• Systems Architecture interview with CTO (45 min).

• Review of tech assessment with CTO (60 min).

• Final interview with GADU CEO & COO (45-60 min).
